Umang Baheti

Umang Baheti is an independent type designer, lettering artist, and a self-proclaimed social butterfly, Umang thrives on teaching and sharing his craft. He studied Applied Arts at MSU Vadodara, India, and has taken many courses at design institutes in India.

Umang has collaborated with multiple type design studios including TypeTogether, Ek Type and David Jonathan Ross where he focuses on Devanagari, Gujarati and Gurmukhi scripts. Originally from the small town of Badnawar, Umang is currently figuring out city life, embracing a classic love-hate relationship with urban chaos. When he isn’t shaping letters, this dedicated foodie is likely defending his fierce passion for the perfect plate of poha.
