Shaily Patel

Shaily Patel is a graphic and type designer based in India. She studied visual arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU, Baroda. Growing up in India, she has always loved history and languages (and scripts) as a part of the vast array of cultures. Much of her work revolves around Latin, Devanagari, and her mother tongue, Gujarati. She works independently and collaborates with designers and type foundries globally. 

Shaily received a Certificate of Excellence from the Type Directors Club New York in 2022, and her work has also been recognised by the Malee Scholarship as one of the “Women of Typographic Excellence 2020” by Sharp Type, New York.
