Athelas in The Goddess of Atvatabar, a rescued 19th century sci-fi adventure

The Scientific Romances (Eccentric Books) is a collection of books that rescues works of early science fiction from the 19th century. To initiate this series, Greek designer and publisher Dimitris Kottas has chosen the book The Goddess of Atvatabar, a novel of incredible adventures written by William R. Bradshaw and first published in 1892. 
The book, with the original illustrations, uses Athelas as text typeface. The combination of this elegant serif with a generous leading enables a very pleasing reading experience.
