Evernote is an app that help users to focus on what matters, from domestic issues to academic studies. Every day it is used by over 225 million people around the world in more than 25 languages. In 2018 Evernote partnered with DesignStudio to rebrand the company and the app, from the logo to the UI. The new visual system echoes the brand DNA of ‘optimistic, clever, confident, and clear’.
The DesignStudio team chose Wolfgang Homola’s Soleil as the primary typeface for the website, communications, and promotional material, saying: “It’s a modern sans serif with a number of subtly interesting letter forms. It strikes the perfect balance between well-crafted and instantly recognizable, but also friendly and welcoming.”
