Een sympathiek product

The book Een sympathiek product: bij het afscheid va Alex Klugkist, written by Frank den Hollander and Ulco Kooystra, was published in 2010 on the occasion of the retirement of Dr Alex Klugkist as head librarian of the University of Groningen Library. Due the low-budget and personal character of the project — the library employees wanted to say goodbye to their retiring boss in a sympathetic manner — personal stories were used combined with scans out of papers 30 years old, screen dumps and other low quality material. For designer Nynke Tiekstra ‘using Karmina helped turning the publication into what it was supposed to be, a very sympathetic product’.
