From Little London to Avenor College, all in Bree

Avenor College is a bilingual school (Romanian and English) based in Bucarest, which started 20 years ago as a small kindergarten called Little London. Since then it has grown into nursery, primary school, and high school.

In 2013  Little London became Avenor College and the London-Romanian agency Storience created a completely new look for the school. Bree was introduced at first on the website, but not in the full branding. A year later, Avenor College contacted Storience to create a launch campaign for their high school. Bree became the main star for the campaign becuase of its clarity, friendly and approachable look, and ability to speak hundreds of Latin-based languages.

The Bree font family is a spry sans serif that delivers a spirited look and feel for branding and headline usage. As an upright italic, Bree shows a pleasant mix of rather unobtrusive capitals with more vivid lowercase letters, giving text a lively appearance. Bree is clearly influenced by handwriting, has a touch of cheekiness, a wide stance for each character, and an extra-large x-height, which equals a big personality. The full bundle includes variable fonts for those who want to invest in the future of design or who value space and data-savings.
