A Manual for the Identification of Plant Seeds and Fruits

Designer Nynke Tiekstra chose Karmina Sans for the setting of the scientific book A Manual for the Identification of Plant Seeds and Fruits, a botanical manual created to help identifying seeds and fruits. The book is richly illustrated with 460 colour photographs of inflorescences, infructescences, seeds, and fruits. Karmina Sans was used to get a clear publication: ‘still scientific, but alive. Due to the shortness of the texts and high amount of images it turned out to be a wonderful choice’.
